The Reception children have been enjoying their new topic this term - 'People Who Help Us' from Firefighters to Paramedics, Police Officers to Vets and their very own Teachers. The children have explored a range of imaginative activities to spark discussions about helpful people in everyday life.

Over the course of the term the children have had visits from Firefighters, Police Officers and Vets. Each of these professionals discussed with the children how they help in the community. When the Vets came in they bought along some friendly fluffy guinea pigs for the children to hold. The Police let the children sit in their police car and play with the siren, which they absolutely loved! The fireman had the children try on his hat, use his torch and we timed how long it took for him to get his uniform on! We are so looking forward to a visit from the fire engine next term too - keep your eyes peeled!
