The focus for Reception children this term has been 'Marvellous Minibeasts!' They have been exploring the stories ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ and ‘Mad about Minibeasts’. They have also enjoyed reading non-fiction books and poems linked to minibeasts. Plus, they have been on a minibeast hunt, watched caterpillars hatch into butterflies and explored and built different minibeast habitats! The children really enjoyed releasing the butterflies outside. In art, they have been designing and making some amazing clay minibeasts.
